Golf Question 7
Woody Allen Degrees - "The Legend Of Bagger Vance" was a film that did not quite work even though that Oscar winning actress and others were actively involved. A marginal golfer with a mystic caddy? Given that, you take your chances. I guess that golf is not a sport that yields a whole lot of magic to it (you walk around around with a hushed crowd watching while you knock around a little dimpled ball and no one ever cheers when said ball lands in the hole. They just politely clap. It's not nearly as rowdy as a football match!). But, anyway, who played Bagger Vance in this completely overlooked movie?
The correct answer is 'Will Smith'
Okay, this movie wasn't great, but it was unexpectably unsuccessful upon its release in 2000. Matt Damon played the golfer but it was Will Smith who played the magical caddy Bagger. Smith's career is interesting, at best. From a rap singer to a sitcom TV star to playing Muhammed Ali? It didn't take long for his career to take roots and, from what I hear, he is a switch in Hollywood as he is a genuinely nice and humble man. This movie aside, sometimes it appears that good guys finish on top.
Golf Question 8
Tough USA Sports Mixture - What former MLB Reds slugger played golf with Tiger Woods in the 2002 offseason?
The correct answer is 'Ken Griffey Jr.'
Golf Question 9
Golf Ball Trivia and Maintenance - Directly before today's modern golf ball, what were golf balls made of?
The correct answer is 'Rubber'
They were all rubber, but they didn't go that far. Plastic golf balls are used today, and the first golf balls were made with leather stuffed with goose feathers, but they broke easily.
Golf Question 10
The Marine Biologist - Why is Kramer so frustrated after he goes golfing?
The correct answer is 'He's full of sand'
When Kramer returns, he's extremely angry because he was horrible at the beach. He only managed to hit one ball far into the ocean while he missed the rest of them. When he gets back to the apartment, he still has a lot of sand on his body and he can't get rid of it. In the series finale, Kramer gets water in his ear and nearly causes a plane crash because of it.
