Ceulemans only ever played for two teams throughout his career, namely Standard Liege and Club Brugge. Rumours were that he was due to sign for Italian giants AC Milan in 1981, but was persuaded otherwise by his mother! He made his international debut at the age of 20 in a 2-0 defeat by Holland on 26th March, 1977. 96 games and 23 goals later, he played his last international match in a 3-0 victory over Luxembourg on 27th February, 1991.
