Super Bowl Question 1
Joe Montana's 49er Years - The 49ers finished 14-2 in 1989, and stormed through the playoffs to Super Bowl XXIV where they faced the Denver Broncos. The 49ers destroyed the Broncos 55-10. How many touchdowns did he throw in that game?
 2
 4
 5
 3
The correct answer is '5'
At the time this was a Super Bowl record. It would be broken by Steve Young when he threw 6 touchdowns 5 years later in Super Bowl XXIX. Joe would be named Super Bowl MVP for the 3rd time.

Super Bowl Question 2
USA Champions: The New Millenium - Who won Super Bowl XXXVII in 2002/2003?
 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
 New England Patriots
 Oakland Raiders
 St. Louis Rams
The correct answer is 'Tampa Bay Buccaneers'
The Bucs had never even been to a Super Bowl in franchise history. Jon Gruden led Tampa Bay to a victory his first year coaching there against his old team, the Oakland Raiders.

Super Bowl Question 3
A Year in Sports: Pt 2 - In this year, track and field stars John Carlos and Tommie Smith were banned from the Olympics for their gestures during the medals ceremony. Denny McLain won 31 games for the Detroit Tigers. The Packers beat the Raiders in the Super Bowl. Which year was this?
 1968
 1952
 1984
 1926
The correct answer is '1968'
It was only the second Super Bowl played, and Green Bay won it, 33-14. McLain and the Tigers went on to win the World Series and saw Mickey Lolich as the series MVP. Carlos and Smith raised their fist during the Mexico City Olympic medals ceremony, and it was taken as a racial gesture.

Super Bowl Question 4
Superbowl XXXVIII Feb. 2004 - Were interceptions thrown by Delhomme the reason for the Panthers losing?
 Yes
 No
The correct answer is 'no'
The answer is no, because Jake Delhomme did not throw interceptions in Superbowl XXXVIII.

Super Bowl Question 5
Super Bowl Quarterbacks - I was the first quarterback to lead a team to a come-from-behind Super Bowl victory, and the first quarterback to collect three Super Bowl rings, even though I started in only one of those games. Who am I?
 Terry Bradshaw
 Babe Parilli
 Earl Morrall
 Joe Theismann
The correct answer is 'Earl Morrall'
Earl Morrall stepped in so masterfully for an injured Johnny Unitas in the 1968 season that he won NFL MVP honors for the year. Facing the New York Jets in the Super Bowl though, he was just 6/17 in passing, with three interceptions and 71 yards (with two of the completions, for 34 yards, coming on the Colts' opening drive) before being replaced by the ailing Unitas. Two years later however, Morrall came into the game when Unitas was injured midway through the second quarter and the Colts trailing 13-6. He played a fairly steady game and led the team to 10 points in the fourth quarter for a 16-13 win. During the Miami Dolphins' undefeated 1972 season, Morrall started the last nine games after Bob Griese was injured during the regular season, plus their divisional playoff game. Griese returned for the AFC championship and the Super Bowl that year, but Morrall collected his second Super Bowl ring as the Dolphins won Super Bowl VII. He remained with the team for Super Bowl VIII, again seeing no action, but becoming the first quarterback to get three rings.

Super Bowl Question 6
Team Dolphin - Who was the second string quarterback for the Dolphins in the 1973 Superbowl?
 Bob Griese
 Earl Morrall
 Dan Marino
 Frank Walsh
The correct answer is 'Earl Morrall'
Morrall came in after Griese was injured.

Super Bowl Question 7
Sports Mixture - Which of these NFL great quarterbacks, did not start in 3 Super Bowls?
 Troy Aikmen
 Fran Tarkenton
 Lenny Dawson
 Bob Griese
The correct answer is 'Lenny Dawson'
Lenny Dawson of the Kansas City Chiefs appeared in 2 Super Bowls, I and IV, while Tarkenton of the Vikings went 0-3, Griese with the Dolphins went 2-1, and Aikman of the Cowboys was 3-0 in Super Bowl competition.

Super Bowl Question 8
1 - 10 General Trivia - Which of the following superbowl-winning quarterbacks wears, or wore, the number "4"?
 John Elway - Broncos
 Brett Favre - Packers
 Troy Aikman - Cowboys
 Kurt Warner - Rams
The correct answer is 'Brett Favre - Packers'
Elway wore "7", Aikman wore "8", and Warner wears "13".

Super Bowl Question 9
Super Bowl XLI - The Bears had a 14-6 lead late in the first quarter. What player scored the Bears' second touchdown?
 Thomas Jones
 Muhsin Muhammad
 Rex Grossman
 Bernard Berrian
The correct answer is 'Muhsin Muhammad'
Muhammad's 4-yard touchdown catch was actually his second Super Bowl touchdown catch. He played with Carolina in Super Bowl XXXVIII, and caught an 85-yard touchdown pass from Jake Delhomme. It was a new record for the longest TD catch in Super Bowl history. Unfortunately for Muhammad, his Panthers lost to the Patriots that day 32-29.

Super Bowl Question 10
Tough Super Bowl - Where was Super Bowl II played?
 Orange Bowl, Miami FL
 Tulane Stadium, New Orleans LA
Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles CA
 Rice Stadium, Houston TX
The correct answer is 'Orange Bowl, Miami FL'
Miami's Orange Bowl has been a favorite location over the years for the Super Bowl. Super Bowl II marked the first time a Super Bowl was played there, but it would not be the last, as four of the first 10 Super Bowl games would be held there.
