Three seasons with Gothenburg followed with 29 goals in 63 games, before playing for KV Mechelen in Belgium, Lille in France, then Norrkoping (Sweden), and back to France with Caen in the 1994-95 season. 12 goals in 33 games for Bari earned him a transfer to Bologna, where he played 114 games and scored 33 goals. In the 2000-01 season, he regained a little of that scoring touch, when he netted 11 goals in 29 games for Fenerbahce in Turkey. Andersson's international career was a little better than his domestic one, as he played 78 times, scoring 31 goals in the process.
